EBOLA UPDATE----Lagos State Govt To Prosecute Cases Of Stigmatization Against Treated Ebola Patients
The Lagos State Government has put it in to law to prosecute any person, group or organization that stigmatizes a patient who has been treated of Ebola and certified free from the virus
Commissioner for Health, Dr Jide Idris, said at a press conference yesterday, that the state Ministry of Justice has been notified to pick up any case of stigmatization, adding that stigmatization can make some persons believed to have contracted the disease not to come forward for treatment.
"Stigmatization may further make contacts and suspects to go underground. This may bring about the reversal of the gains we have already made; because such contacts and suspects may not come out and if they don’t come out, they jeopardize the life of those they come in contact with, including their families.
We want to emphasize that the Ministry of Justice will take up any case of stigmatization. Anybody, either a discharged patient or a contact being followed up, who feels any form of stigmatization, should petition the Ministry of Justice and the Attorney-General and we will take it up from there." he said.

Update---FG Re-Opens First Consultant Hospital Where The First EBOLA Man Patrick Sawyer Died
Months after the first EBOLA patient died The Federal Government has reopened First Consultant Hospital in Obalende, Lagos where Liberian Patrick Sawyer, the first case of Ebola in Nigeria, died from complications of the disease.
In a letter sent to the Lagos state Ministry of Health, the Federal Government said after having undergone three rounds of state-certified decontamination processes according to world standard, the hospital is free to continue its business of administering health care to patients.
The hospital was closed over a month ago after Patrick Sawyer died there. Dr Adadevoh and nurse Ejelonu got infected in the hospital and also later died.

Just a week after th Australia investigator accused him of being a Boko Haram sponsor by Australian hostage negotiator, Stephen Davis, former Borno state governor Alimodu Sheriff accompanied the president of Nigeria to an anti-terrorism meeting in Chad.

UPDATE--School Staff Moved Their Daughters Before Boko Haram Invasion--
As Some parents of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls say that they believe there is a cover up in the events that occurred before the abduction of their daughters by the Boko Haram sect.
One of the parents of the girls, Bulama Jonah told newsmen that some top staffers of Government Secondary School, Chibok, moved their wives and daughters out of the school premises less than 24 hours before the terrorists visited Chibok on the night of April 14.
“We still believe that there was an internal collaboration in the abduction of our daughters by the Boko Haram gunmen, because we have correct information that some of the teachers, who are very senior in the school, managed to move their own daughters and family out of the school premises before the attack”, he said. “That is why we are insisting that government must provide our daughters and we would not take it lightly if they don’t produce our girls for us.
“The girls were in their custody, because school premises belong to government; and we believe they were aware of the attack but failed to provide security for them”. He lamented that: The (state) government can not pretend to us that they were not aware of the attack on Chibok that led to the abduction of our daughters”. Jonah wondered why it took several weeks before the federal government started to act on the incident when it became an international issue.
SHOCKING--Man Shot De$d In Enugu State Just A Day Before His Wedding
Engr. Uzochukwu Eze, whose wedding was supposed to be held on Saturday September 6th, was shot dead on Friday September 5th by unknown gun men
Eze was killed at a filling station close to Dhamija Bridge at the Trans-Ekulu area of Enugu State while trying to buy fuel. 4 other people including the manager of the filling station, a pump attendant and another customer buying fuel are said to have lost their lives as the gun men opened fire indiscriminately.
Sources say the groom-to-be was trailed to the filling station and before he could get down from his car, the gunmen, suspected to be cultist, opened fire, killing him instantly.
Enugu Police said they have commenced investigation into the killing.

Latest News---Prime minister of Somali said on Friday that Ahmed Godane, head of the Islamist militant group al Shabaab, was killed in a U.S. strike on Monday, although the group that is waging an insurgency against the government has yet to comment.
U.S. officials had said on Wednesday that they were still checking to see whether Monday's U.S. missile strike on an al Shabaab encampment had killed Godane, who was appointed leader in 2008 after his predecessor was killed in a U.S. attack.
"We tell the Somalis that Godane is dead," Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed said on his Facebook page, the first government confirmation of his death. (Reuters)

The British Ebola Patient, William Pooley, Has Been Discharged From Hospital--
WOW-The first British National William Pooley, who tested positive to the deadly Ebola virus in Sierra Leone on August 23rd has been discharged from the Royal Free Hospital in London.
He was discharged today September 3rd after being successfully treated with the experimental drug, ZMapp
The 29 year old volunteer nurse was transported from Sierra Leone to England on August 24th, a day after he tested positive.
