Again Another Nigerian Has Been Sentenced To De'ath In Indonesia


Another Nigerian has been sentence to de'ad, A district court sitting in Tangerang, Jakartar in Indonesia has sentenced a Nigerian man, Simon Ezeaputa, to de'ath following charges of drug trafficking.

A source from Indonesian media, Simon, who is currently serving a 20 year jail term for offenses bothering on drug trafficking, was found guilty of running a drug cartel while in prison. He is accused to have recently engaged in a drug transaction that involved 350 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

Simon's de'ath sentence brings to 13 the number of Nigerians currently on de'ath row in Indonesia for drug trafficking offenses.

Nigerian government has constantly appealed to the Indonesian government for clemency and prisoner exchange so that those who are on de'ath row in Indonesia can come back home to serve jail terms rather than be executed, a request the Indonesian government has failed to answer, maintaining that the Nigerians are adult enough to bear the consequences of their actions as they are aware that drug related offences in Indonesia comes with de'ath sentences when caught.
