Iyayi’s family Demand N50bn Compensation From Government.

The kinsmen of Onojie Ugbegunland, hometown of former President of Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Professor, Festus Iyayi, in Edo State, HRM, Samuel Obade I, and his people, demand N50 billion as the compensation to the family of the late professor by the Kogi State governor, Captain Idris Wada. The community in a letter dated November 13, urged the Executive Secretary, National Human Rights Commission, Abuja, to carry out a thorough investigation of the car accident involving Iyayi and Wada's convoy for Nigerians to know the actual cause of Iyayi’s death. Governor Wada's convoy was accused of recklessness on the road. NMA calls for probe Commenting on the death, NMA’s President, Osahon Enabulele, urged the Federal Government to do everything possible to stop deaths caused by the recklessness of executive convoys.
