A 30years old Romania scrum-half Florin Surugiu got engaged to his
girlfriend Alexandria on the Wembley pitch after his side lost Ireland by 44-10 in the Rugby World Cup on Sunday.
The 30-year-old Surugiu came off the bench to feature in the
Pool D encounter which had a tournament record attendance of 89,267.
And afterwards, with thousands still inside the stadium and
his team-mates gathered behind him, Surugiu brought girlfriend Alexandria out
on to the pitch, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him - and she said
yes!

As Alexandria accepted, the rest of the Romania squad broke
into a round of applause and the remainder of the crowd cheered the scene which
had unexpectedly unfolded before them.
Head coach Lynn Howells was asked for his view on one of his
players proposing, and the Welshman replied wryly: 'I tried to tell him not
to.'
Romania are bottom of Pool D after two games in the World
Cup, having also been defeated by France last Wednesday.
But despite Sunday's result, the match against Ireland will
be one for the Romania side to remember for a long time
